Today we have another snow day for my children. That makes seven days off in the last four weeks. I have no more ideas for how to make shoveling fun. They are beginning to suspect that when I say, "Let's get all the snow from the driveway and put it in a big pile so we can have a snow fort" really means "go shovel the driveway". They are too smart to keep this going. So I stopped doing the asking, and now have "Chore Birds" doing it for me...
Make Your Bed
Shovel the Driveway
I Mean It! Go Shovel the Driveway!
Today I am in my studio making birds for an upcoming show. I think I will take some advice from this video...
These are great! I can think of so many birds to leave around the house, it would look like a zoo - "Put your boots on a towel not the hardwood floors" "Wet socks in the hamper not on my bed" "Mom is locked in her room - do not disturb".... ha ha

Oh, that's cute. Does it work? How are they with today's message: "Chop the ice."
