Alien Invasion

I haven't posted in more than a week as I have been working on deadlines, traveling, and getting ready for the holidays.

My youngest son was feeling ignored the other day, and reminded me just why I left my career in biotech sales nine years ago:  so I could spend more time with my family and be a better mother.  So, as he craved some attention and "mommy time", I dropped my projects, put aside the cleaning (happily!) and spent a lovely hour dressing his Lego guys in multi colored capes.

I'm proud to say that he has good taste.  Like any quilter, I have thousands of choices in my scrap pile, but he knew just what he wanted... $24/yard Laura Wasilowski Designer Hand Dyed Fabric was the only choice for him.  Thank goodness he didn't see the rest of my hand dyed stash, or every stuffed animal in the house would need designer duds!

So join me in celebrating family, welcoming the well-dressed alien into our lives and playing with our children, no matter how busy or stressed we are.

I love legos! And the cape is a very classy color.
