No, this is not about my son's new shoes... although they are cute...
Or about my photographic obsession with feet and shoes...
Or about altering old photos... which is also fun...
But about my new foot for my Bernina. The #10... You have to try it! I am now using it for stitching and quilting "in the ditch" for small quilts. It is easier than attaching a walking foot, and the control is better because there is a metal bar which pushes against the seam allowance. Because the bar does not extend through the opening where the needle moves, the needle can move to either the right or left with ease.
Try it and let me know what you think!

I have one of those for my machine as well, and love it. It's perfect for stitching in the ditch and around anything where the 1/4" foot is too wide. Your new shoes are so cool!
Ooooh, yeah... like I have ANY idea what you're talking about.
:-) Happy Memorial Day Weekend
When I got my first Bernina about 15 years ago, I bought this foot that was highly recommended by people at the dealership. I've used it a lot for various projects, including some quilts.
You'll enjoy your new foot even if it's not as cute or elegant as the others you posted.
I LOVE that number 10 foot, in fact I call it the "stitch in the ditch" foot. I really wish that Bernina would make a footplate for the walking foot that had that fin in the center. That would indeed be the perfect stitch in the ditch foot.
Interesting..I've used my #5 foot which looks very similar and it does hold the fabric quite well and give you something to guide with. love the shoe pics!
