Farmers work whenever they can... "Make hay while the sun shines" is more than just a snippet of good advice. I need to use every moment possible to meet the deadline and deliver this quilt on time. Even though the sun was shining yesterday and today, I was "making hay" in my studio- the top of the quilt is now entirely pieced, and I can rest better tonight knowing that the first of the hard work is done. Quilting the behemoth starts tomorrow.

Farmlands Day 8: Making Hay
Farmers work whenever they can... "Make hay while the sun shines" is more than just a snippet of good advice. I need to use every moment possible to meet the deadline and deliver this quilt on time. Even though the sun was shining yesterday and today, I was "making hay" in my studio- the top of the quilt is now entirely pieced, and I can rest better tonight knowing that the first of the hard work is done. Quilting the behemoth starts tomorrow.

What a project! Can't wait to see the finished result.
You are certainly on a run! Did I ever tell you that my grandfather DeWitt invented four wheel drive? For his hay baler? Nothing like those farmlands to get your creative juices going.
