Twelve Recipes of Christmas: Hot Chocolate Mix

On the First Post For Christmas, My True Love Asked For: Hot Chocolate Mix 8 quart package of instant milk 1 lb Nestle Quick 8 oz non dairy creamer 1/4 c confectioner's sugar 1 package mini marshmallows Mix all ingredients together. To serve, use 1/3 cup of above mixture in a mug of hot water. Stir with peppermint sticks (tomorrow's recipe!). My children make this easy recipe every year for their teachers. We package it in small antique glass canning jars and tie a package of peppermint sticks to the side. They are proud of their gifts, and I love the handmade Christmas atmosphere.

What an awesome gift! And love the look! Thanks for sharing... the Gold Finch has flown the coop, by the way, and the nest found a new tree to live in also.

I hope you can use a fair trade cocoa mix..some of us boycott NESTLE products, due to the corporation's stealing of water via their other subsidiaries and their practices are not very commendable while doing business overseas. All of us do need to begin thinking about all our actions--I certainly used Nestle when my boys were little and then I was told how to look things up and investigate where my hard-earned dollars are going..it's just that kind of world. I stopped giving our money to any products (when possible--no one can do ALL the time--I have tried, lol) that are made by companies who don't "get it"--we are all one. Mihuhase osakin. thanks, i will make it with the other brand....
