Who's In Charge?

I often wonder which bird is the "Alpha Male" at my feeder. Finches have been so plentiful this year and often chase away the chickadees, titmice and larger woodpeckers. Bluebirds stay at the feeder as long as there is a perch, but even they fly off when the large flock of Goldfinches and Pine Siskens arrive. All of my questions were answered recently, though, when we were visited by several noisy Blue Jays. All of the little birds flew into the oak trees at the first squawk and call of the boisterous jays. They seem to be saying, "Move over! It is our turn" and claim the remaining sunflower seeds.
