Give Away: Feeling Generous

Look what arrived in my mailbox today...  Lyric Kinard's book about design and creativity.  I was the lucky winner a few weeks ago of a give away on Jane Lafazio's blog.  This is the first thing I have won "on the internet" (unless you count the many millions of dollars that will come my way from the Irish Lottery if I deposit $1000 in a Kenyan Prince's Swiss bank account...)  so you can imagine that I am thrilled with my book for a number of reasons.

These two women are working together to promote their books and artwork.  Last week  Lyric was giving away Jane's latest book.  They have a great "cross pollination" of ideas, interviews and marketing one another's work.

As a result, I am feeling generous and am going to pass on a packet of blue embellishments on Friday to a lucky blog reader.  Just leave a comment after this post (along with your email address if you are an anonymous commenter) for a chance to win.  Tell me in the post if you visit Jane's and Lyric's blogs, and you will receive another opportunity for blue embellishments!

Lastly, check out this give away on Mummysam's blog...  so cute, and my love for birds makes me want this book, too.

**The winner of the embellishments is Denise - the third to comment!  Thanks to all who commented and congratulations to Denise!**

Hi Vivika,

Great idea getting rid of your stuff during the hoarding thread. However, blue is my favorite color and I can't resist the possibility of acquiring new things that I can add to my art quilts. If you give it to me it will also be the first thing that I "win" on the internet. I thought I was special - you get those e-mails from Kenya asking your bank account # too? :)

Anytime I see blog by an art quilter, I bookmark it and visit often. Someday I hope to meet all these lovely and talented folks. If they come to the Houston Quilt show that might happen. In the meantime, I'm creating in my small corner of universe and would love to collaborate with others even if it means just exchanging blog url's.
