Prayer Flag Project Update

30 flags for June
After posting nearly every day in June about my Prayer Flags, I took most of the month of July "off"... but only from blogging, not from creating.

The Prayer Flag Project has now moved into a new phase and become a blog of its own, aptly named "The Prayer Flag Project" and can be found at  This is now a collective project, and I have asked artists from around the world to join me in making flags.  Each flag is created in the artist's own style, then hung outside for a while, its words and sentiment dissolving into the wind and being spread to all whom the wind touches.  They are a living, breathing, kinetic journal of our hopes, dreams, and concerns.

Please join us in this journey.  So far, 15 artists have submitted prayer flags for inclusion in the blog.  More have added photos to the flickr stream created for this project, and about 30 additional artists have committed to making at least one flag.  All of the information on the project, including a brief tutorial and an overview of the goals of the project can be found here.

Please join me and my fellow artists on this journey!
